Incode ID and biometric checks

Riders prove they are real before higher-risk trips.

How verification works

In the app, a rider starts verification. Our servers open a secure Incode session and hand the app a short-lived token. Incode runs the flow for that market, then ChariotGo records pass or fail.

Iraq exception

Iraqi users are exempt from government ID document checks. They still must complete image liveness (a live selfie check) so bots and photo spoofs cannot open or take over accounts. Other countries use the full flow: ID document plus liveness.

What we store

ChariotGo stores verification status, session id, mode (full or liveness-only), and pass / fail flags, not raw ID images on this site. Biometric processing stays with Incode under their privacy terms. See also our Privacy notice.

Stopping double accounts

Each rider needs one lasting email and one mobile number. Temporary email hosts, repeat phones after a suspension, and too many accounts on the same device are refused. Incode liveness adds another check that the person is real.

Market rules at a glance

Rider steps in the app

Same Incode engine everywhere. Only the steps change by country.

1. Start in the app

Open Verify identity from profile or when ChariotGo prompts you.

2. Complete the Incode flow

Iraq: live selfie only. Elsewhere: scan a government ID, then the live selfie.

3. Status updates

ChariotGo records pass or fail when Incode finishes the session.
